Coopi (Italian Cooperation): Photographic Exhibition “Feeding Congo”, Padua, 10-17 May 2015.

On 10 May, 12.30 a.m in Caffè Pedrocchi, Coopi (Italian Cooperation) opened the photographic exhibition “Feeding Congo”, together with the photographer Marco Palombe and the journalist Carlo Ciavoni from “La Repubblica”. The exhibition will be opened until 17 May.

The exhibition aims at reporting the project of Coopi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in order to support the agricultural production of small producers in the Plateau de Batéké and the commercialization in the market of Kinshasa. The final goal is to prevent people from abandoning rural areas and even encourage them to "care" for those lands, so that the food can be protected and the city becomes an area of trade.

The photographic exhibiton is among the events of the first Festival della Cooperazione internazionale (International Cooperation Festival) organized by the Municipality of Padua from 9 to 10 May 2015.
