Questo lavoro è una breve guida ai principali centri di ricerca universitari pubblici e privati, attivi negli Stati Uniti sulle tematiche dei diritti umani, della pace e della risoluzione dei conflitti.

Sono stati censiti 37 centri di ricerca e raccolte, per ciascuno di essi, le informazioni generali (nome della struttura e istituzione, anno di fondazione, indirizzo, e-mail, sito internet) nonché i dati relativi a specifiche pubblicazioni e risorse on-line (per es. newsletter periodiche, banche dati, rapporti) con i relativi collegamenti ipertestuali.

Per ogni centro di ricerca è inoltre disponibile una breve presentazione generale e sono state assegnate delle parole chiave di classificazione.

Il lavoro è stato realizzato da Claire Doran, studentessa dell’Università di Berkeley (California - USA) durante uno stage svolto presso il Centro diritti umani dell’Università di Padova nel periodo compreso tra maggio e luglio 2008.
