Building on the recently published topic, we return to discussing the EQui-T project with updates on events that have taken place in recent weeks.

The EQui-T project–an acronym for "European Quality Development System for Inclusive Education and Teacher Training"– was launched in June 2023 with a three-year funding grant from the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Partnerships for Excellence programme. The project aims to enhance the quality of inclusive education across Europe.
Following several in-person and online meetings and extensive collaborative work, the University of Padua hosted the project partner universities on March 13th and 14th, 2025. The meeting aimed to discuss the next steps for developing and implementing the exchange of Open Inclusive Educational Resources (OIER) at the European level.

Specifically, over these two days, the various university teams involved—including those from Graz, Padua, Tallinn, the University of South-Eastern Norway, and Granada—had the opportunity to:

  • Explore the theoretical framework of OIER;
  • Assess and enhance the currently available inclusive educational tools;
  • Organise teacher training courses in greater detail;
  • Plan upcoming dissemination activities;
  • Strengthen the creation of teacher networks at both national and international levels.

In addition to fostering knowledge exchange and dialogue, the event also served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen the University of Padua’s network with other European universities. The overarching goal is to promote and disseminate an increasingly inclusive and sustainable culture, starting with the engagement of teachers and inclusion experts. Together, we aspire to build a future that embraces and values diversity—a better future for all.
