Between 26 and 28 June 2013, the fifth expert editorial meeting in the framework of the process for the realisation of an handbook on intercultural citizenship education in the Euromediterranean region will take place in Padua, in the Library of the University Centre for Human Rights.
The initiative – the main follow-up to the first Alexandria Education Convention, organised in December 2011 by the Anna Lindh Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures, is aimed at developing an educational multidimensional resource to be spread throughout the whole Euromediterranean region in the framework of formal, informal and non formal education and learning.
The preparation of the handbook is edited by a group of eight experts from all the region and is based on a consultation process involving hundreds of teachers and civil society representative who are active in this area.
Specifically, the meeting in Padua will be crucial to discuss and agree a number of relevant elements for the finalization of the education handbook, whose final publication is foreseen at the end of 2013.
