Global Campus of Human Rights: ‘To The Righthouse’ podcast series

The Global Campus of Human Rights (GCHR) started a new initiative - a podcast series ‘To the Righthouse’, which is a platform to discuss human rights from multiple points of view and to bring attention to the gap between the expectations and reality when it comes to the human rights area. According to the authors ‘much as a Lighthouse warns of dangers and guides travellers towards safety, our Righthouse alerts to risks for human rights and points towards secure protection.’

The first series of the podcast will focus on the topic of ‘Engaging with human rights scepticism’. The recently released initial episodes bring up the following subjects:  the concerns expressed by the sceptics and pressure put on human rights, pragmatically-oriented human rights scepticism and the efficacy of human rights in particular settings, the inclusiveness of human rights and the influence of particular cultures or religions on them.

The podcast and the transcripts are available on the Global Campus of Human Rights website. The episodes are also available on Spotify.
