The Region of Veneto has developed a strong political, cultural and technical investment, promoting the institution of "observatories" as places of documentation, research, gathering and analysis of data of observed phenomenons, and at the same time as a service instrument functioning for the processing of planning and valutative models, in the sphere of policy making.
Of interest for the processing of politics regarding the field of human rights are the Regional Observatory for social and social-health policies and the Regional Observatory for immigration.
The Observatory has the function of promoting the knowledge, monitoring and evaluating the regional policies on social and social-health service provision. Moreover, it develops a social information system which links together local and regional systems.
Among the areas of study and research of the Observatory there are minors, youth, civil service, family, voluntary work, third sector, non-self sufficient persons, drug addiction, social inclusion, residential homes, home caring services and the link Hospital-Territory.
The Regional Observatory on Immigration refers to the Department of Regional Public Security and Migratory Flows.
Provided for by the Triennial Plan 2007-2009 of initiatives and interventions in the immigration sector and in accordance of Regional Law 30 January 1990, n. 9 "Interventions in the sector of Immigration", the Immigration Observatory aims to:
