Internship positions for students of the MA Degree Programme in “Human Rights and Multi-level Governance”

The Human Rights Centre “Antonio Papisca” of the University of Padova periodically offers internship positions for students enrolled in the Master’s degree program in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance at the University of Padova.

The internship lasts 225 hours (9 ECTS credits), and the training program involves students in research and communication related to human rights. Specifically, the following activities are planned: updating the various sections of the Center’s website (Italian and English versions); drafting news articles and bulletin board posts; updating human rights databases; managing social media and producing multimedia content; developing the campaign for the international recognition of the human right to peace; and assisting the administrative office in organizing conferences and events.

The Human Rights Centre “Antonio Papisca” of the University of Padova offers 2 internship positions for students of the Master's Degree Programme in “Human Rights and Multi-level Governance” in the period from February 2024 to June 2024. An internship consists of 225 working hours, distributed in roughly 3 months, and entitles to 9 ECTS credits (corresponding to the curricular stage).  Internships are not remunerated.

Internships at the Human Rights Centre aim at:

  • increasing the intern's understanding of current human rights issues, improving her/his practical skills in research and communication;
  • providing the Human Rights Centre with the contribution of outstanding students in carrying out its activities.

The Tasks assigned to the intern include:

  • Reviewing and updating the “In-depth” section of the Centre’s website (Italian and English versions);
  • Supporting the editing of the new online edition of the Italian Yearbook of Human Rights;
  • Drafting news. updating institutional sections of the Centre’s website (Italian and English versions), managing the social media profiles of the Centre;
  • Supporting the staff in the organization of conferences, events and extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in the 1st or 2nd year of the HRG master’s program for the entire period of their internship;
  • Fluency in English, including writing skills;
  • Fluency in Italian, including writing skills;
  • Willingness to undergo training and seek out professional development opportunities;
  • Team working experience;
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
