International Joint Ph.D Programme "Human Rights, Society, and Multi-level Governance"

The Ph.D Programme in Human Rights, Society and Multi-level Governance is a three-year, interdisciplinary academic programme jointly offered by the University of Padova (Italy) with Tangaza University College (Kenya) and run by an international board. The administrative structure is the Human Rights Centre “Antonio Papisca” of the University of Padova.

The doctoral degree programme is an interdisciplinary and cross-cutting course of research and study on the topic of human rights and sustainable development.

The main streams of study and research on which the programme is developed are:

  • Human Rights Protection and Social Justice
  • Inclusion and Psychological growth
  • Sustainable development: Peace, Security, and Global Justice

The programme includes learning, research and training activities, is open to different approaches and methodologies, and has global geographical scope. The language of the programme is English.
