Conference “Challenges and Opportunities on Human Rights-based Intercultural Competences”, University of Padua, 23 March 2015

On Monday 23 March 2015, Mrs Katérina Sténou, Former Director of the UNESCO Programme for a Culture of Peace, Dialogue and Non-Violence, held the conference “Challenges and Opportunities on Human Rights-based Intercultural Competences”, in the Archivio Antico of the University of Padua.

Professor Antonio Papisca, UNESCO Chair “Human rights, democracy and peace” of the University of Padua, Professor Marco Mascia, Director of the Human Rights Centre and Professor Léonce Bekemans, Jean Monnet Chair ad personam and Academic Coordinator of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of the University of Padua, held the welcome addresses.

At the end of the conference, Mrs Katérina Sténou and Professor Léonce Bekemans handed over the Jean Monnet Certificates to students of the Jean Monnet Course “EU Challenges in the process of globalization”.
