The Global Campus of Human Rights organises a newly designed course - Electoral Technical Assistance training - that will take place from 6 to 8 May 2022 in the Monastery of San Nicolò, Venice Lido (in presence).

The training programme is addressed to all participants who are interested in deepening their knowledge of the functioning of electoral technical assistance from a multi-disciplinary approach, especially those who already have a background in international election observation and mission functioning. It will be an opportunity for the participants to debate with experts, exchange and network with peers, as well as to deepen theoretical and practical expertise on electoral technical assistance.

Participation in the course will allow one to fully grasp the linkage between the electoral observation and the technical assistance, to acquire a thorough knowledge of the existing activities in the areas of electoral technical assistance, and to deepen the understanding of the various areas targeted by technical assistance. Core themes of the course include the EU programming cycle, electoral assistance in politically challenging environments, the dynamics of a politically closed context (case study), the challenges represented by technology in the management of elections, and the practical application of the challenge of biometry (case study).

Before the beginning of the training and contemporary to the participation in the daily sessions, participants will have at their disposal an online platform with materials related to the course.

The number of places is limited and the application deadline is 20 April 2022. For more information and enrollment, please visit the website of the Global Campus of Human Rights.
