The initiative UNited for Nepal will be launched at Centro Universitario Zabarella the 9th of June, 2015 from 15.30 p.m., promoted by the students from the Master degree course in Human Rights and Multi-Governance of the Padua University.
This event begins from the desire to offer some practical and effective help to those people affected by the catastrophic earthquake in April 25 in Nepal, and raise fund to Sagarmatha International Foundation – a non-profit association that realises projects about education, health, drinking water and agricultural irrigation in the district of Sindhupalchok since 2011.
During the day of the event, it will be screened a documentary on Nepal; some discussions with university professors, including Professor Lanzavecchia and Professor Bosilli - docent of Biological Sciences; an interview with Shiva Bhandari – Nepalese student of the European Master's Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) who is particularly active in the reconstruction of Nepal. All of these activities will be followed by a cocktail buffet, Latin American dances and concerts of musical groups. During the event there will be also a flea market.
This initiative is promoted with the support and collaboration of the Human Rights Centre of the University of Padua, the European Inter-University for Human Rights and Democratization in Venice (EIUC), as well as from the students of the
European Master Degree in Human Rights and Democratization (E.MA). The media partners of the initiative will be the ViviPadova, the newspaper for students of the university, RadioBue, the web-radio of university.
