ForumZFD seeks a Regional Director (m/f/d) for the Palestine/Israel programme in Jerusalem
ForumZFD (Forum Civil Peace Service) is a recognised organisation of the German Civil Peace Service (CPS) that supports people involved in violent conflicts towards the construction of peace. It was established in 1996 by peace and human rights groups and it continues to help overcome war and violence.
It works in peace consultation in Germany and other countries in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. It also offers the Academy for Conflict Transformation and organises campaigns, lobby work and public relations to advocate civil peace policy.
At the moment they are looking for a Regional Director (m/f/d) for their programme in Palestine/Israel based in Jerusalem, ideally starting from the 1st of October 2024.
The project puts together local partners across Israel and Palestine, including grassroots organisations, women’s groups, and art collectives, focusing on building long-term, trust-based relationships. The initiatives range from offering consultations on organisational development to co-implementing nonviolent action campaigns, producing educational materials, and creating safe spaces for civil society actors amid the current situation.
The Regional Director will be responsible for the implementation as well as the financial viability and the ongoing conceptual development of this programme in close coordination with the programme team.
