As part of the FUTURE(s) Club initiative organized by students of the Human Rights, Society and Multi-level Governance PhD Programme at the , the movie “Winter on Fire” will be screened on Thursday, 18 June 2026 at 16:30. The movie will be screened in the original language with English subtitles.

The initiative creates a shared academic space where members of the University community can watch films together and reflect collectively on major issues shaping our societies, our memories, and our possible futures. Through cinema, dialogue, and facilitated discussion, FUTURE(s) Club invites participants to engage with questions related to human rights, climate change, social justice, psychology, conflict, democracy, environmental protection, collective memory, and the responsibilities we hold toward one another and the planet.

“Winter on Fire”

Synopsis 

“Winter of Fire” is a documentary on the unrest in Ukraine during 2013 and 2014, as student demonstrations supporting European integration grew into a violent revolution calling for the resignation of President Viktor F. Yanukovich.
