Peace Human Rights Governance Journal: New article on Mobilising Digital Feminism in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

The online first article of the Peace Human Rights Governance Journal “Mobilising Digital Feminism in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” has been published by the Padova University Press. Peace Human Rights Governance (PHRG) is the peer-reviewed completely open access journal of the University of Padova Human Rights Centre 'Antonio Papisca'. It constitutes a new resource within the increasingly broad and multi-faceted scientific community engaged in the study of human rights, which aims to present original theoretical and empirical contributions on current human rights issues while fostering the development of a robust multi-disciplinary and multi-level approach to research and scholarly dissemination on these topics.
The article by Bartolozzi, Corsaro, and Nguyen examines the gender implications of technological innovations and the awareness of digital feminists from a technofeminist perspective. The research focuses on the initiatives of South Korean and Chinese feminist activists in combating pornographic deepfakes through social media campaigns. Furthermore, the study offers an in-depth analysis of recent legislative developments regarding deepfakes, both at a global level and in the specific contexts of South Korea and China, highlighting the intersection between technology, gender rights, and public policy.
