Professor Laura Nota awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Lausanne
On May 29, the University of Lausanne held a ceremony to award an honorary doctorate to Professor Laura Nota in recognition of her research and her commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, social justice, and guidance.
Laura Nota is a full professor of Developmental Psychology and Educational Psychology in the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Applied Psychology (FISPPA) at the University of Padova, where she directs the La.R.I.O.S. Laboratory and serves on the executive board of the Joint International Ph.D. Program in Human Rights, Society and Multi-level Governance, coordinated by the Human Rights Centre “Antonio Papisca”. She served as the delegate for Inclusion and Disability in the Rectorate of Prof. Rosario Rizzuto (2015–2021). In that capacity, she promoted the launch of the first General Course at the University of Padova on the theme “Human Rights and Inclusion”.
She is president of the Italian Society for Guidance (SIO), coordinator of the “Inclusion and Social Justice” group within the Italian Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS), a member of the editorial board of the journal ‘La Cura del Vero’, and editor of the column ‘Inclusion and Eco-social Justice’ at the Human Rights Centre “Antonio Papisca”.
The President of the Human Rights Center, Prof. Marco Mascia, together with the entire Board of Directors of the Center, extends his warmest congratulations to Prof. Laura Nota on this high-level, prestigious academic honor, which recognizes years of research and tireless commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, social justice, and guidance.
