University of Padua: Call for applications published for the Italian Universities for Palestinian Students (IUPALS) project

The University of Padova has published the call for applications for the "Italian Universities for Palestinian Students (IUPALS)" project, launched in 2025 by the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of University and Research, and the Italian Consulate General in Jerusalem, with the support of the Schools of the Holy Land and the John Paul II Foundation. More than forty Italian universities are participating in this project.
The project is aimed at Palestinian students residing in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and seeks to offer them economic, social, and educational support through the provision of 140 scholarships funded by individual universities, ensuring their in-person attendance of bachelor's, master's, and single-cycle degree courses.
The University of Padova has allocated funds totaling 156,240 euros, corresponding to 4 scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year. Each scholarship provides an amount of 12,000 euros per academic year and includes full exemption from student fees and basic services such as room and board, health insurance coverage, buddy services, free Italian courses at the University Language Center, psychological support provided by the University Psychological Clinical Services (SCUP), and orientation services offered by the Global Engagement Office.
Applications must be submitted from June 2, 2025, and by July 2, 2025.
