Welcome day for the 41st cycle of PhD students of the Human Rights, Society and Multi-level Governance programme, 6 November 2025

On 6 November 2025, the Human Rights Centre welcomed the new PhD students of the 41st cycle of our Joint PhD programme in Human Rights, Society and Multi-level Governance. This is a 3-year advanced interdisciplinary doctoral programme offered by the University of Padova for outstanding students who want to achieve a multifaceted training in one of our two curricula: Human Rights Protection and Social Justice, or Inclusion and Psychological growth

This year, we embark on a new journey with six PhD students from diverse backgrounds and with insightful research projects in their respective fields of interest. During the Welcome Day, they were welcomed by the coordinator of the PhD programme, Prof. Alberto Lanzavecchia, and the supporting staff of the Human Rights Centre. 

The PhD students Margherita BussonChristian Moro, and Marta Lusiardi are part of the curriculum in Inclusion and Psychological Growth. Oleksandr Osinskyy, Giuliana Renda, and Abdullah Ahmadi will follow the curriculum in Human Rights Protection and Social JusticeTheir research spans a wide range of contemporary global challenges, from environmental & social justice, human rights, to artificial intelligence for humanitarian action and safeguarding democracy from disinformation.

The Human Rights Centre warmly welcomes them and wishes for a fruitful and enjoyable journey in our midst.
