Winter School "Microfinance in Action" in Nepal, 2015 (1st Edition)
«Microfinance in Action» is a cooperation project selected and funded by the Veneto Region (Italy) and the University of Padova to transfer expertise, share experience and promote initiatives aimed at intensifying cultural exchanges between Italy and developing countries, with particular regard to those among young people.
Six students from the MA Human Rights and Multy-level Governance of the University of Padova attended educational activities at the Apex College in Kathmandu (Pokhara University) and visited the "Muktinath Bikas Bank Ltd", which is committed for good corporate governance practies and banking activities with prudent banking culture. They also partecipated to several meeting whith Fair Trade organisations in Patan and Laliptur, visited the Sagarmatha International Foundation (No-profit organisation incorporated under the Nepalese law, established by people from differents countries united by a common goal: supporting Nepal), and had istitutional meeting in Kathmandu at the Center of Microfinance (CMF) Nepal at he IFC (Word Bank).
