Winter School "Microfinance in Action" in Nepal, 2026 (6th Edition)

The Department of Historical and Geographic Sicence and the Ancient World (DISSGEA) of the University of Padova has opened applications for the “Microfinance in Action 2026”: seven places are availble.

The Study Trip in Nepal is organised in collaboration with Tribhuvan University (Kirtipur, Nepal). 

The provisional programme is expected to last from 19th June 2026 to 27th June 2026 (return to Italy from Kathmandu).

The DISSGEA allocates a contribution of up to euro 1.100 for documented expenses of journey, meals and accommodation. Extra costs are at students’ charge.

This call is open to students currently enrolled in the Master’s Degree Programs in Local Development, Sustainable Territorial Development, or Human Rights and Multi-level Governance at the University of Padua for the 2025/26 academic year.

Applicants must submit their applications no later than May 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM (CET) via the online form available at the following link: https://dissgea.unipd.it/microfinance-action-nepal-2026.

The Selection Committee will be appointed by a decree of the DiSSGeA Department Director and will consist of three faculty members of the University.

The lists of selected candidates will be published on May 8, 2026.
