Peace has your signature: Foundation Peace Without Borders launched a petition for the right to peace
Foundation Peace Without Borders (Paz Sin Fronteras) launched the “Peace has your signature” initiative. It consists of a petition to demand to the UN Human Rights Council to adopt a declaration on the right to peace at the end of the thirty-second regular session, held from June, 13th to July, 1st 2016 in Geneva.
During the current session, a group of artists and celebrities led by Foundation Peace Without Borders will demand Human Rights Council member states to adopt the above declaration aiming at strengthening the three UN pillars: peace and security; human rights and development.
The request will be accompanied by the above-mentioned petition, which is available in several languages on the Foundation’s website and is open for the subscription of all.
The "Peace has your signature" initiative is in line with the International Campaign for the recognition of the right to peace launched in 2013 by the Human Rights Centre of the University of Padova and the National Coordinating-body of local authorities for peace and human rights.
Foundation Peace Without Borders aims at promoting peace through art and culture with support from famous musicians, including the the two Foundation’s leaders and worldwide famous musicians Juanes and Miguel Bosé.
