The Seminar is directed to PhD students of human rights, society and multilevel governance and for master’s degree students in human rights and multilevel governance. It will delve into the education policies of the EU addressed to migrant children, both unaccompanied or living with families. Education should be available, accessible, acceptable, and adaptable. The EU frame, however, has to find its way within the policies of the member states. The analysis of the documents produced by European institutions allows to identify conceptual and practical gaps and to advance suggestions that may improve the implementation of this fundamental right and shed light on a fundamental driver of inclusion and social cohesion

Speaker: Adrián Neubauer Esteban, PhD candidate, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Master in Quality and Improvement of Education (UAM). Member of the “Grupo de Investigación sobre Políticas Educativas Supranacionales” (GIPES-UAM).

Discussant: Barbara Santibañez, University of Padova, PhD in Human rights, society and multilevel governance. Researcher at the European Institute of Education and Social Policy (EIESP).
