Anna Lindh Foundation: second Alexandria Education Convention, 16-18 December 2012

The second edition of the Alexandria Education Convention will take place in Alexandria (Egypt) at the headquarters of the Anna Lindh Euromediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures. The event, organised by the Foundation and the Swedish Institute will take place from 16 to 18 December 2012. The first edition took place in October 2011.

The focus of the second edition is to involve 40 selected participants from all the Euromediterranean region in a consultation process for the launch of a programme on Intercultural Citizenship Education and the production of a learning resource in this field addressed to the formal and non-formal education practitioners.

After having participated to the first edition, the Human Rights Centre of the University of Padua will be also present at the 2012 Convention, with a delegation composed by prof. Léonce Bekemans and Pietro de Perini. In particular, prof. Léonce Bekemans, Academic Coordinator of the European Centre of Excellence Jean Monnet “Intercultural dialogue, human rights and multi-level govenance” is currently involved as Coordinator of the project aimed at realising the learning resource above, in close cooperation with other seven international experts in the sbuject from the whole Euromediterranean region.
