Call for applications for the European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (2012/2013) - New deadline for application - 1 May 2012
Due to the numerous requests for extension, the deadline for applications to the European Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) has been posponed to 1 May 2012. From now onwwards we will review applications on an on-going basis. The sooner they are submitted, the greater chances they will be accepted.
The European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) has launched the 16th edition of the European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) 2012/2013.
E.MA, whose lectures begins in September 2012, is an intensive one year course. The first semester (September to February) the Master is set in Venice, Italy, and a field trip is also scheduled (probably in Kosovo). During the second semester (March to July) students relocate to one of the 41 E.MA participating universities to follow lectures in a given area of specialisation and to undertake personal supervised research finalised by the writing of a Master's thesis.
The European Master is managed by the European Inter-University Centre in Human Rights and Democratisation ( EIUC) and supported by the European Union, the Region of Veneto, the Municipality of Venice, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, UNESCO and the German NGO GTZ.
