Under the title “Democracy: A new hope?” The 10th World Forum for Democracy organised by the Council of Europe, launched a call for initiatives inviting NGOs, think tanks, as well as educational and civil society organisations to present proposals with the aim of providing solutions to reverse the democratic decline.

The forum will be held from 7 to 9 November 2022 in Strasbourg. It will bring together diverse voices to debate the main factors contributing to the decline of democracy, examine how to address it, and consider what desirable and possible type of democratic future might counteract the erosion of democratic culture and benefit people across the world.

Presentations of initiatives should be sent by 15 June 2022. For more details, please visit the website here.

The World Forum for Democracy is a unique platform to debate solutions to challenges for democracies worldwide. It encourages innovations at the grassroots and their transfer on a systemic level to strengthen the foundations of democratic societies.
