DPI Italy: two events within the project “The Holocaust of All. Battle of the Memory”

In the framework of the project “The Holocaust of All. Battle of the Memory”, whose main objective is to bring to the memory of EU citizens the Nazi extermination of persons with disabilities, Disabled People’s International Italy (DPI) organises on January 27th 2014 in Naples (Italy) the International Conference “Respect of Human Rights for an Active Citizenship” and the Opening of an Exhibition.

The International Conference, articulated in two sessions and a round table, will tackle, respectively, the issue of the negative stigma towards persons with disabilities; the current situation in Italy, Germany and Spain; active citizenship of persons with disabilities in Europe.

Among the invited speakers, Prof. Marco Mascia, Director of the University Human Rights Centre of the University of Padua and Prof. Antonio Papisca, UNESCO Chair in Human Rights, Democracy and Peace at the same University.

After the Conference, at 5:30 p.m, the Opening of the Exhibition will take place at the National Library. The Exhibition will be open from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until February 7th 2014.
