Five days for the Mediterranean communities. 21-25 May 2013
The Five days for the Mediterranean communities takes place in Forte Marghera (Venice) from 21 to 25 May 2013. The initiative will envisage many international meetings as well as raising-awareness events and informative film and documentaries dedicated to the Mediterranean region and its populations.
The Assembly of the Italian network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, composed by 401 non- governmental organisations and public and private institutions, will be the core of the 5-day event. The Italian network is one of the 43 national networks that are part of the Anna Lindh Foundation, the main body dealing with the promotion of intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The Assembly will take place on 23- 24 May, one day will be structured in seminars and the second one will have a more technical focus thanks to the participation of political, cultural, civil and religious figures.
Laura Boldrini, President of the Chamber of Deputies, and Khalid Chaouki, Chairman Committee on Culture Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean, among the numerous participants, will deliver a speech.
The Human Rights Centre of the University of Padua, as member of the Italian network Anna Lindth Foundation, will take part in the 5-day event and in the Assembly with a delegation.

The Heads of the Italian network of the Anna Lindh Foundation (Fispmed onlus, Fondazione Mediterraneo and Istituto Paralleli) together with Habitat World, Re.na.i.a and Confcooperative Veneto are among the main organizers of this initiative.
