HIKMA Student Association from the University of Bologna organises the HIKMA Summit of International Relations 2022 “Future: instruction for use”. The event will take place on 12-15 May and it will be held online.

The Summit focuses on three pillars: Future of people and society, Future of security and Future of economics and development. Those areas will be explored by a series of lectures and workshops with the experts. The topics brought up during the lectures are, i.a. Ethics of AI, Metaverse and geopolitics, Feminist AI, Role of China in Latin America and in the Caribbean.

Among the meetings also some workshops and lectures related to human rights can be found. A lecture “Cybersecurity: a New Era for Human Rights” will take place on May 12 at 18:00. Workshops: “Human Rights and future international health challenges: a new pandemic treaty?”, “Fight for your (h)earth: Ecocide as a new crime against humanity” and “The Metaverse: the future or a threat to individual rights?” will be held on 13-15 May, 14:00-17:00.
