A few days ago, in February 2026, Stefania Delendati passed away. She was the director of Superando, an online newspaper that has always focused on issues concerning disability in all its aspects. She led the newspaper with seriousness and dedication, never lacking in attention towards others. Under her guidance, the newspaper always provided comprehensive and thorough information that was, above all, accessible to everyone.

As Vincenzo Falabella, president of FISH, writes, Stefania's passing "leaves a human and professional void that is difficult to fill, but also a solid legacy made of method, values and vision".

Stefano Borgato, editorial secretary, will continue to walk in the direction that Stefania believed in and carried forward daily. In these lines written by her on the occasion of her taking office, her thoughts are summarised, which today become our inheritance:

"Through writing, I understood that disability inhabits every sphere; you find it even where it seems impossible, demonstrating that it is not a topic reserved for a few, but can touch anyone. I never liked saying 'world of disability'; it's antithetical to inclusion, a way of relegating a part of humanity to a distant planet, whilst we should get to know each other and enrich one another in the one world of which we are all part."
