International Conference on Multilevel Governance and Children's Rights, 2 December 2020

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the CRIMG project is organising the International Conference on “Multilevel Governance and Children's Rights: Challenges and Achievements in the EU's, Italian and Spanish Contexts. Theoretical and Practical Perspectives”. The virtual conference will take place on 2 December from 9:30 to 16:00 via Zoom and be live-streamed on Youtube SPGI Channel: https://youtu.be/AMo1Zr5-8F0.

The conference focuses on the protection of children’s rights at the three levels of the EU multilevel governance framework - supranational, national and regional levels - and presenting current strengths, weaknesses and obstacles for the protection of children’s rights particularly at European Union, Italy and Spain, in particular in Veneto and Catalonia.

It is also devoted to suggesting actions for improving the conditions of children through the adoption of more comprehensive, integrated and forward-looking child rights strategies at the European, national and regional level.

“CRIMG - Mainstreaming of children’s rights: multilevel governance perspective” is an international project funded by the University of Padova under the STARS Grants programme and managed by the Department of Political Science, Law and International Study of the University of Padova.
