Italy: The National Council for development cooperation has been established

The Ministerial Decree dated 28 November 2014 of the Minister for foreign affairs and international cooperation, published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic No. 286 of 10 December 2014, has officially established the National Council for development cooperation, in accordance with Article 16 of Law No. 125/2014.

The establishment of the National Council for Development Cooperation is the first practical effect of the new Law (L. No. 125/2014). The Council will be the main permanent body for multi-stakeholders participation, political consultation and coordination of national development strategies and policies.

The National Council for development cooperation will be composed of the main public and private, profit and non-profit actors in the field of international development cooperation, including Members of the Government and representatives of civil society associations and organisations.
