New global campaign by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR): “Hope Away from Home”

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has launched the "Hope Away from Home" campaign intending to earn global support for people fleeing conflict and persecution. With 110 million displaced individuals worldwide, the campaign aims to confront new anti-refugee policies. The campaign advocates for legal reforms, international cooperation and solidarity among nations. It emphasizes the right to seek safety from hostile situations and calls for tangible actions to protect refugees. Governments must make commitments to protect the rights of people feeling conflict, violence and persecution.

The campaign also marks the 100-day countdown to the Global Refugee Forum in Geneva, where world leaders, civil society organizations, international institutions and other stakeholders will meet to discuss solutions for refugee and host communities.
