The University of Padova Human Rights Centre “A.Papisca” has published a new scientific article in the Peace Human Rights Governance scientific journal (PHRG).

The article, titled “The Role of Local Authorities for the Right to Peace: The Italian Case of Solidarity to the Palestinian People”, is written by Tancredi Marini.
The article conducts an analysis of the political culture of positive peace within the Italian local authorities, and its contribution to international peacebuilding through the medium of City Diplomacy and it aims to explore how Italian municipalities acted as international relations actors by adopting motions for the recognition of Palestine and humanitarian aid.

PHRG is six-monthly and completely open access. It constitutes a new resource within the increasingly broad and multi-faceted scientific community engaged in the study of human rights, which aims to present original theoretical and empirical contributions on current human rights issues while fostering the development of a robust multi-disciplinary and multi-level approach to research and scholarly dissemination on these topics.
