The Padova Model UPR 2020 is a comprehensive academic simulation of the UN Mechanism, the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), which works to review the human rights records of UN Member States. This simulation offers students from all over the world a unique opportunity to learn about human rights, democracy and diplomacy.

The simulation will be held in Padova from November 24-27, 2020. Participation is open to both teams and individuals, there is also the possibility to apply as a remote researcher. Research roles aid the State delegate, Non-Governmental Organisation, and National Human Rights Institution teams with remote revision, lobbying and preparation.

In the case that Covid-19 presents a limitation to travel and/or in-person attendance, the Padova Model UPR 2020 may be adapted to a partially or completely remote/online platform.
