World Human Rights Cities Forum: from 7 to 10 October 2020
The 10th edition of the World Human Rights Cities Forum (WHRCF) will take place from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 10 of October in Gwangju (South Korea) in a hybrid on-site/online setting and most sessions will be accessible and open to online participation.
The WHRCF offers an annual meeting point for the global human rights cities movement. As such, it welcomes the participation of many local government representatives, but also civil society, researchers, city networks, and other local and international partners working on human rights at the local level.
In its 2020 edition, the WHRCF will address as a focus topic the connection between historical memory and social mobilization from the point of view of human rights cities and local human rights activists. It will also assess the impacts of COVID-19 over local human rights guarantee and propose ways forward from the perspective of the global human rights cities movement.
Previous registration to sessions is necessary in order to participate.
