The cycle of seminars has been promoted by the Interdepartmental Centre on Human Rights and the Right of Peoples of the University of Padua and by the police headquarters of Padua in the context of the Memorandum of Understandings signed in September 2009.
This memorandum provides for the realization of activities of information, education and awareness on themes concerning human rights, intercultural dialogue and security with the participation of students and teachers of the Master's Degree Course in Institutions and Policies of Human Rights and Peace and staff members of the State Police.
The meetings cycle is coherent with United Nations and Council of Europe's programmes devoted to the human rights training of teachers, public servants, businessmen, justice and security employees.
