Call for applications for the MA in North African and Middle Eastern Studies (N.A.M.E.S): deadline 31 May 2021

The MA program in NAMES at Al Akhawayn University is an intensive one-year program that takes a multidisciplinary approach to the study of North Africa and the Middle East. The MA offers students a learning environment and research opportunities that are unparalleled in either the region or the world. Students can gain proficiency in a variety of different regional research languages including Modern Standard Arabic, Moroccan Arabic, Tamazight, French and Spanish.

Prospective students must possess a minimum three-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with GPA of 3.0 or equivalent and a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (or equivalent).

All candidates must submit a formal application to the University before 31 May 2021. Candidates will either be accepted directly or be invited to conduct an oral interview (distance interviews can be arranged upon request).
