Everyone has the right to be happy: training and planning seminar for civic education addressed to headmasters and teachers of all levels, Padua, 10 December 2019
On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the University of Padova organizes the event "Everyone has the right to be happy" a two-day training and planning seminar for civic education addressed to headmasters and teachers of all levels, which marks the end of the 1st MOOC – Massive Open Online Course on ”Teaching Human Rights”, as well as the end of the Programme “Rights and Responibilities 2017-2019”, in the framework of the programmes “Io ho cura” and “Cittadinanza 2030”.
The event will take place on 9 December at Room Paladin of the Municipality of Padova and on 10 December at Palazzo Bo, Aula Magna "Galileo Galilei".
The MOOC aimed at training teachers and professional figures, in order to develop a specific awareness of the importance of the issue of human rights, starting from the knowledge of the deep meaning of human rights, and the related values.
The course has been divided into 7 sections: "The universal culture of human rights", "Knowing human rights", "Rights and responsibilities", "Human rights in Europe and in Italy", "Human rights in the world today", "Human rights education", "Ideas for human rights education".
