The 20th edition of the Summer School in Cinema, Human Rights and Advocacy is set to take place from August 25 to September 3 2025, at the Global Campus of Human Rights Headquarters in Venice Lido. This program, a collaborative effort between the Global Campus (GC) and Picture People MSP, offers a unique training opportunity at the intersection of cinema, human rights, and activism.

The intensive 10-day course provides a safe, culturally rich, and collaborative environment where diversity and inclusivity are embraced. Participants will have the opportunity to hone their skills, stimulate critical thinking and creativity, and network with human rights experts and film industry professionals attending the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. This year’s program will have a special focus on environmental rights within the broader framework of human rights protection and promotion, emphasizing the impact on young generations and local communities.

Applications are now open, with deadlines of April 30, 2025, for scholarship applicants and May 30, 2025, for self-funded participants.
