Global Campus Visual Contest: a competition for photographers and video-makers on the theme "Diversity and Inclusion"
The Global Campus of Human Rights launched the fourth edition of the Global Campus Visual Contest, a competition for photographers and video-makers coming from all over the world. Applications are currently open and can be submitted until 4 May 2018.
The goal of the contest is to create synergies between academia, Human Rights defenders and artists to reach a wider international public and foster a better understanding of the issues concerning human rights and their protection.
The fourth edition of the contest will present the theme "Diversity and Inclusion": by adopting and integrating inclusive practices and policies, and by managing them well, institutions and the people within them thrive. They become more engaged, innovative and productive. Diversity through inclusion is thus a source and lever of innovation and growth.
The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers and video-makers. The best pictures and short videos will be selected by an international jury that includes prominent photographers such as Nick Danzinger and Maia Nydal Eriksen, experts in communication and social campaigns like Una Bejtovic and academics like Rod Stoneman. The winners could receive special mentions by the partners of the contest and will be presented at the events of the Regional Masters of the Global Campus in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Caucasus, Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, South East Europe. Furthermore, the best photos and videos will be exposed during an exhibition in Bologna during the Human Rights Nights festival, from 5 to 14 May 2018.
