Est-ce la guerre des civilisations?

The main thrust of this paper is to emphasize the need for mediation and real intercultural dialogue. The paper argues that talk of a «clash of civilisations» is derived from a displacement of the need to regulate problems in the economic and political sphere to the cultural sphere. The rhetoric of clash of cultures masks the real problems of politics and economics to be resolved.
