It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace.”

The final ceremony of the First “Special High Education Training Course for Experts in Civic Education, Human Rights, Citizenship, Constitution”, has been organized by the Interdepartmental Centre on Human Rights and the Rights of Peoples of the University of Padua in the A.Y. 2008/2009, in co-operation with the European Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, the School Office of the Region of Veneto, and the Department of International Relations and Human Rights of the Region of Veneto.
The Training Course has been the first relevant feedback by Italian University to the actions aimed at making school staff aware and trained and directed at the acquisition of knowledge and competences concerning “Citizenship and Constitution”, according the article 1 of the Law 169 of 30 October 2008.
