Africa Europe Foundation: Talking Africa-Europe High-level dialogues ahead of 6th AU-EU Summit
The Africa-Europe Foundation (AEF) will host three high-level debates around key issues at the centre of the cross-continental partnership. The debates will be held ahead of the The 6th AU-EU Summit, which is scheduled to take place in mid-february.
Here the details of the three debates:
Climate and Energy in the Africa-Europe partnership, January 20, 2022, 17:00-18:30 CET
This debate will build on the aftermath of COP 26, which have left unhappy both climate activists and made African partners keen to address the key challenge of insufficient access to energy on their own continent.
Migration and Mobility in the Africa-Europe partnership, January 27, 2022, 17:00-18:30 CET
This debate will explore the drivers of intercontinental migration, often misunderstood – and politically charged discourse only adds fuel to this fire.
Vaccine access and equity in the Africa-Europe partnership, February 03, 2022, 17:00-18:30 CET
This debate on Vaccine Access and Equity will focus on the need for effective vaccine equity, and on the development of local vaccine manufacturing capacity in Africa.
The aim of the Africa-Europe Foundation is to facilitate the dialogue between our continents in order to promote a mutual understanding and to identify concrete opportunities for cooperation on these common areas of interest.
All debates will be broadcast in English and in French on the website of the Friends of Europe Thinktank.
