HUMAN RIGHTS ARE FOR EVERYONE – THAT MEANS YOU
In 1948 the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
This is the first and most important document to say that all human beings have
equal rights – without any distinctions such as gender, nationality, colour or
religion.
Among the principles announced in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights art. 4 affirms:
“No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be
prohibited in all their forms”.
