Human Rights as a Foundation of Economic and Social Justice: Some Conclusions of a Course of Lessons
Achille Agnati
These conclusions to a series of lessons on «Economic and Social Justice» gather together some demonstrations about the way in which a society – in its historical evolution with a connected state – must receive from that state some «satisfactions» of vital needs, i.e., human rights for its citizens. These conclusions propose a sufficient reason principle regarding human rights. Its roots lie in dual liberty, holistic welfare, and economic democracy. According to the author, the foundation of economic and social justice lies on those same roots.
